Asia touring specialist Wendy Wu Tours has released a new collection of seven-night Mekong cruises. Sailings are onboard Victoria Mekong, and include a four-night beach resort extension on Vietnam’s top holiday island Phu Quoc. Also, all bookings made by 31 October 2023, receive £400 of Mekong cruise shore excursions, plus the four-night beach and spa holiday for free. This represents a saving of up to £500 per person. Wendy Wu Tours says it has seen a major upturn in bookings for Southeast Asia river cruising, with over 70% more enquiries for 2024, than for 2023. Victoria Mekong features an infinity pool and horizon lounge bar, the Claypot Restaurant and houses 33 staterooms and suites. The seven-night Mekong cruises sail downstream from Kampong Cham, visiting Angkor Ban, Silk Island, and Phnom Penh. It concludes with a four-night beach resort stay on Phu Quoc, staying at the Anja Beach Resort & Spa. Wendy Wu Tours has urged nature lovers not to procrastinate over visiting Japan’s famous Cherry Blossoms. Due to sheer demand for the celebrated 'Sakura' cherry blossom season, visiting is going to get much harder in years to come. The tour operator says demand has skyrocketed, far outpacing capacity. The seasonal window for cherry blossoms is short - from March to April each year. Wendy Wu Tours says customers may have to book at least two or three years in advance. "Cherry blossom is a huge tourism magnet in Japan, as is the equally magnificent autumn foliage season in October and November,” said Gary King, head of trade sales. “We've been working closely with the Japanese travel authorities to ensure customers have the maximum opportunity to see the cherry blossom and autumn leaves." "Departures for 2023 and 2024 have practically sold-out,” However, it has been just been granted an additional 50 departures for travel to Japan in 2024.
