Azamara Cruises announces longest ever world cruise for 2027 - News & announcements

Small ship line Azamara Cruises’2027 World Cruise aboard Azamara Quest will be its most ambitious yet. It has opened reservations for the world voyage which spans more than six months, 37 countries, 103 destinations, and 5 continents. The 188-night journey visits iconic cities including Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, Amsterdam, and Stockholm, departing from San Francisco on 5 January 2027. The World Cruise will first head to Hawaii before turning south to the South Pacific (Bora Bora, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji), New Zealand, Tasmania and the southern coast of Australia. Azamara Quest will then cruise to Bali, Indonesia, beginning a two-month exploration of Asia including calls in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan and more. Azamara Quest will then cross the Pacific Ocean to Alaska before circumnavigating North America (via the Panama Canal) to St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Finally, Azamara Quest will sail the transatlantic voyage to Northern Europe, visiting Ireland, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, and concludes in Copenhagen, Denmark on 12 July. “World cruises are a true bucket list experience,” said David Duff, MD of Azamara Cruises. “We’re therefore delighted to announce our 2027 World Cruise which is our biggest adventure yet. After a seven-year hiatus, Azamara Pursuit will sail 10- to 13-day Alaska cruises with extended stays in port of 10+ hours, cultural encounters with indigenous communities, and wildlife excursions. This 3-night program offers an immersive discovery of Iceland's natural wonders, including its world-famous waterfalls, hot springs, and the county’s remote highlands. Ancient Wonders of Egypt & Greece - Athens, Greece

Throughout this 3-night program, guests will explore the history and ancient civilizations of Egypt and Greece. In Cairo, highlights include the lively Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Great Pyramids of Giza, followed by a dinner cruise along the River Nile, accompanied by local performances. Once in Athens, travellers will have the opportunity to visit Cape Sounion to see the Temple of Poseidon, a must-visit for its historic ruins and scenic views of the Aegean Sea. Azamara Cruises has released its 2025 and 2026 winter sailings, which will see it visiting eight new ports for the first time. Azamara's new sailings include a Grand Voyage circumnavigating South America and back-to-back Caribbean sailings without any sea days. New ports include Scarborough, capital of Tobago and Pointe des Galets on the island of Réunion. “We know that UK travellers are also looking to sail for longer, so we are excited to be launching a new 79-night Grand Voyage in 2026 that will take guests to 47 ports in 24 countries". This voyage includes a total of seven overnights including Buenos Aires and San Antonio, Chile. The Grand Voyage is round trip from Miami. Azamara has also designed its Caribbean itineraries to prioritise days in port, so guests can book back-to-back Caribbean sailings for up to 14 days at sea with port calls every day. Other maiden port calls include Maizuru, Japan and Celukan Bawang, Bali.

Azamara Cruises has hired Peter Ryan as new Business Development Manager, UK & Ireland. He brings more than 25 years' travel industry experience. His previous roles were at Thomas Cook, Classic Travel Worldchoice and most recently, Celebrity Cruises. At Celebrity Cruises, he held the role of Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast, responsible for managing trade partner head office accounts and driving commercial targets. Ryan also played an integral role in ship launches such as Celebrity Beyond and hosting ship visits with trade partners throughout the summer season in Southampton. Prior to Celebrity Cruises, he spent 14 years at Thomas Cook, managing sales and profitability across retail branches. Beginning this month, Azamara will offer nine different National Geographic Day Tours in partnership with Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, the global cruise ground handler. InterCruises collaborates with National Geographic to operate these experiences. The tours offer insights into local conservation, history and culture. 7-Night St. Patrick’s Day Iberian Voyage on Azamara Pursuit

Sailing from Lisbon, Portugal on 16^th March 2024 to give guests 80 hours in port, travellers can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day exploring Irish pubs alongside locals in Portimão, Portugal. 7-Night Celebration of Spanish Culture & History Voyage on Azamara Quest

Guests onboard this Spain intensive voyage embarking from Lisbon, Portugal on 1^st April 2024 will have 66.5 hours in port and the unique access of small-ship cruising for an overnight in Seville to visit the Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and home to historic treasures, including the tomb of Christopher Columbus. Travellers will also be able to explore one of the few circular castles in Europe, Bellver Castle in Palma, Majorca.

7-Night Spanish Wine Discoveries Voyage on Azamara Quest
