Thai e-Visa system goes global
All visitors from around the world will be able to apply for a Thai e-Visa through the official website www.thaievisa.go.th starting in the new year.
The Thai e-Visa system is currently available only for travellers in select locations.
Starting from 1 January 2025, applicants from any part of the world can complete the entire process online.
This global rollout will activate the electronic visa system (e-Visa) across all 94 Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates-General worldwide.
The Thai e-Visa initiative is designed to simplify and speed up the visa application process.
The e-Visa system is fully electronic meaning reduced paperwork required.
Also, advanced screening processes are connected with international databases to security and reliability without long time lags.
The system is ideal for tourists, business travellers, and other short-term visits.
To apply, visitors should go to www.thaievisa.go.th.
After creating an account, they fill out the online form with required details and attach any required documentation.
The system allows the fee to be paid online securely.
Once approved, the e-Visa will be issued electronically.
