Seabourn Pursuit set for inaugural Kimberley season
Seabourn’s purpose-built expedition cruise vessel Seabourn Pursuit has arrived down under ahead of its inaugural season in Australia’s Kimberley region.
The first Kimberley cruise departs today on the first of six 10-day voyages between Darwin and Broome until August 2024.
The Kimberley in Western Australia is one of the world’s most remote destinations, renowned for its abundant wildlife and Aboriginal culture.
Seabourn Pursuit will explore remote locations such as Ngula Jar Island.
The 132-suite ship has an expedition team of experts showcasing the nature and cultural experiences in the region.
Seabourn recently announced the Wunambal Gaambera Traditional Owners as godparents of Seabourn Pursuit, in an industry first.
Season highlights include the King George Falls dual waterfalls which are the highest twin falls in Western Australia.
There is an opportunity for helicopter viewing of the Hunter River and the Kimberley en route to the triple falls of Mitchell Plateau on select sailings.
The expedition cruises also visit Vansittart Bay, Jar Island and Freshwater Cove.
Seabourn’s experiences throughout the entire journey include cultural tours, guided Zodiac cruises, hikes, nature walks, snorkeling and scuba diving.
