Responsible Travel ditches Twitter

“We believe in free speech, not hate speech,” says Responsible Travel founder, Justin Francis as the company announced it has deleted its Twitter/X account.
The company has been on the platform for 15 years.
It is no longer compatible with its company values, it says.
Francis cited a controversial Elon Musk post.
Francis, said: “We believe in free speech, not hate speech, disinformation, or incitement to violence.”
“There was no justification for Elon Musk’s assertion that ‘civil war is inevitable’ due to the effects of ‘mass migration and open borders’ in the UK”
“The heart of responsible tourism is respect, and we’re a global, diverse and inclusive community.”
The company is urging people to connect via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Threads.
Earlier this year, Responsible Travel severed ties with Barclays Bank amid fossil fuel concerns, becoming the first travel client of Unity Trust Bank.
