Celebrity Equinox to sail Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral

Port Canaveral will become home for Celebrity Equinox in late 2024.

Celebrity expands sailings to the Caribbean starting December 3, 2024, through April 19, 2025 with Port Canaveral homeporting.

The Port has now gained the status as the world’s busiest cruise hub.

“We are thrilled to welcome Celebrity Cruises as our new partner to be part of their Caribbean cruise expansion plans,” said Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO.

“The demand for Celebrity Cruise sailings from our Port has been growing.”

Celebrity Equinox will offer 20 new itineraries spanning seven-nights to The Bahamas, Belize, Grand Cayman, Mexico, San Juan, and St. Maarten.

Two sailings on March 1 and March 15, 2025, will include stops at private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

“It is a perfect market to reach a wide mix of both in- and out-of-state travelers.”

Celebrity Equinox features 13 decks, with a capacity for 2,850 passengers.

The Solstice class ship underwent a multi-million-dollar refresh in 2019, introducing an all-new The Retreat experience.
