Accor to double Japan hotel portfolio

Hotel giant Accor is set to double its Japan hotel portfolio.

Accor announced a new strategic partnership with JHRA in Japan.

The tie-up will see the rebranding of the Daiwa Resorts portfolio to Grand Mercure and Mercure hotels .

It will add 23 Japan hotels comprising over 6,000 rooms.

Conversions will take place throughout 2024.

“We are thrilled to be adding these great hotels and will continue to build on the relationships that Daiwa Resort has successfully maintained,” said Jean-Jacques Morin, Group Deputy CEO.

Daiwa Resort properties are located across japan from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

Accor will also debut several new flagship properties in the region over the coming years.

These are the Pullman Singapore Hill Street, ibis Styles Bangkok Twin Towers, Novotel Nara, Japan and Fairmont Hanoi.
